Updated April 20, 2009:
IT'S FINALLY HERE
!!
In 1997, Full Tilt went into the
studio and recorded This Car Up - an 11
track CD of all original material. The project was led by then keyboardist
George Crist, an extraordinary songwriter and musician, along with contributions
from trumpeter Gary Stump, lead vocalist Curtis Roberts, and trombonist /
founder Harley Felton. There's just so much to say about this incredible album,
but let's not waste time - click
on over to CD Baby and
listen to the song samples. We are so happy to be able to offer this album again
both at CD Baby and at our
upcoming appearances. More details about the album and the talent behind it in
the next update. For now - Check
It Out !!
Updated February 17, 2009:
Greetings funkophiliacs. Been a while since we updated for you, plenty to talk about, so
let's get right to it.....
First
of all, Thank You each and every one who have come out to support us in
2008. It was great to see so many of you kids dancing the night away at the
local hot spots, and especially as we made our rounds at the Pennsylvania
casinos. December found us taking the funk to the chilly confines of the Mt.
Airy Resort and Casino. We didn't get a chance to hit the slopes yet, but
there's always plenty of action right there at the resort. We sincerely
appreciate all your support and will continue to strive to bring you the best
Funk/Soul/Rock/R&B entertainment anywhere in the East.
Which brings us to some big news:
With the change in the calendar has
come some exciting changes in Full Tilt. For 2009, there will be new tunes, new
faces, and a whole new level of energy.
As for the faces; returning after a 7
year absence is Full Tilt alumnus Erich Ferg on guitar. Believe us - he hasn't
been sitting on his hands for the last seven years. Eric has 26 years of
performing experience, being heavily influenced by T.O.P., Chicago, Steely Dan
and Aerosmith. From the smooth silky chords of an R&B classic to the
smoking, in-your-face solo of an early Chicago rocker, ERICH IS BACK
!!! The Mothership welcomes him home with open arms and we're sure you will
too. Also on board for the adventure is drummer extraordinaire Sterling
Ingram. Full Tilt has waited a long time to share the stage with a
drummer of his caliber. Sterling has been wooing the masses for the past twelve
years with The Full Effect Band, and we are thrilled to welcome him into the
family. Last but not least, on the front line we have Dave Buffington
blowing his face off on the trumpet. Dave's explosive playing takes the Full
Tilt horn section to a new high.

We've
been fine tuning all the great songs that you've come to expect from Full Tilt -
AND - have decided to revisit some of the great early classics from Rare
Earth, Chicago, and other legendary bands that have shaped our musical world.
When you hang with Full Tilt, we want you to dance the night away,
but we also want you
to sing along to the songs you know and love.
2009 is quickly shaping up to be one
of the best years in Full Tilt's 27 year history. Lots of weddings and
private parties being booked, but we're still signing on for all the great local
venues, as well as a steady rotation in the Casinos. Also planning on putting
some extra miles on the funkmobiles and taking the excitement to Philadelphia
and New York.
We are in the process of updating the
website, so check back soon for lots of new stuff including picture galleries,
stories from the road, detailed schedules / venue information, and lots more.
Thank you again for your support and
friendship. See ya at the show.
